Charlie Feathers - Roll Over Beethoven

Damn, I noticed that there was no Roll Over Beethoven (Honky Tonk Man lp) version by Charlie Feathers in the tube. So I made this little sleazy vid by myself and uploaded it. When many fifties rockbillies finally stopped makin the crazy hillbilly bop Mr. Feathers surely did not. On a contrary he just kept on playin' the music he loved and took it into really unique dimensions...places no one had ever gone before...Rockabilly evolution/mutation call it what you want. Charlie Feathers rocks...big time!

Cybotron - Cosmic Cars (1982)

This is the second release for Juan Atkins and Richard Davis (AKA 3070)
under the name Cybotron from way back in 1982. Cosmic Cars is an out and
out Detroit Techno classic that can be played at 33rpm or 45 rpm
depending on your mood. To my knowledge, 10-15,000 copies of this 7"
record were sold. Deep Space records catalogue 203053X. Engineer - Ben
Grosse, Produced and written by Juan Atkins.

The Blenders - Don't Fuck Around With Love (1953)

Recorded april 17, 1953. Kelway 101/ Jay-Dee 780

After The Blenders produced a succesful take of  Don't Play Around With Love producer Joe Davis asked them to record an alternate version he could slip to influential disc-jockeys. And so they did and this fine memorable slab of smooth vocal group harmony was born.

Charles Bukowski - Born Into This

Charles Bukowski's gravestone reads: "Don't Try", a phrase which Bukowski uses in one
of his poems, advising aspiring writers and poets about inspiration and
creativity. Bukowski explained the phrase in a 1963 letter to John William Corrington:
"Somebody at one of these places [...] asked me: 'What do you do? How
do you write, create?' You don't, I told them. You don't try. That's
very important: not to try, either for Cadillacs, creation or
immortality. You wait, and if nothing happens, you wait some more. It's
like a bug high on the wall. You wait for it to come to you. When it
gets close enough you reach out, slap out and kill it. Or if you like
its looks you make a pet out of it."
