Martin (1978)

Uploaded by milo bans

Directed by George A Romero in the summer of 1976 and released in 1978. Romero is famous for his classic zombie flicks Night Of The Living Dead, Dawn Of The Dead, Day Of The Dead etc. Well, this is not a film about the zombies that's for sure. Martin is a modern nosferatu who uses hypodermic needles and razorblades to suck the blood out of his victims. He's a serial killer who just thinks he's a vampire...or??

Wiki says:
The young man is Martin, who has romantic monochrome visions of vampiric seductions and torch-lit mobs, but it is impossible to tell if these visions are real or imagined.

Demo take of Tell Me One Thing recorded for Bats In Your Belfry? cd-ep at Varpaisjärvi's Juhlatalo (Party House) North-Savo, Finland. Chop Suey was not the first band I played with but in many ways it was thee most important band 'cause we started doing gigs and recording regularly etc. Hard to believe it's already 20 years...oh my. This was actually recorded on vhs tape (audio only) by our friend Markku Strömberg. Mika Sonninen vocals, Marko Lukkarinen lead guitar, Ossi Heikkinen bass guitar and Janne Heikkinen drums. Mastered by Pentti Dassum.

Andre Williams - Let Me Put It In (1998)

Uploaded by Johnny Beebe

Andre Williams...Mr Rhythm...the original rapper...black godfather. He started doing cool rhythm'n'blues/rock'n'roll stuff back in the 1950's and is still doing it. This song is from his notorious 1998 Silky album (In The Red records) which he recorded at the tender age of 62 . Greasy sleazy sex soaked R'n'R!!

Mahmoud Ahmed - Belomi Benna

Uploaded by dakeyboard's channel

Great and very interesting Ethiopian sounds. Here's an excerpt from the liner notes of The Very Best Of Ethiopiques 2cd compilation album: "Mahmoud Ahmed is a star of Ethiopian music, a deservedly loved vocalist of great power whose artistic mastery effortlessly spans the emotional register, delivering messages from the depths of melancholy, exuberant highs or breezy dance numbers with equal authority. From his beginnings with The Imperial Bodyguard Band, he became a mainstay for all the Ethiopian labels and producers, eventually releasing a small number of records on his own label, Mahmoud, in the mid 1970's. Like Mulatu (Astatge), he too has latterly achieved significant international recognition."
